So you want it make it in show biz? Here’s an award that allows you to get behind the camera and unleash your creative talents

Eligibility: This award is open to any individual or group of students engaged in creating or producing English-language television commercials as part of their post secondary school curriculum.

Criterion: The creative concept and production supervision must be Canadian. Commercials can be 15, 30, or 60 seconds in length and be submitted on a 3/4" or Beta cam SP videotape. Commercials must be for Chartered Banks and/or their services.

Deadline: March 16, 2001 with the commmercial produced before January 31, 2001

Value: $50,000 worth of goods and services to produce a professional calibre TV commercial with pros in the business. Prize money can be used to cover production value which could include: use of camera, director, producer, studio time, etc.

Number of Awards: 1 to an individual or group
