How much have Canadians invested in ethical (or socially screened) mutual- or labour-sponsored funds?

By June 2000, the amount Canadians had invested in ethical (or socially screened) mutual- or labour- sponsored funds was calculated to $10.35 billion. This amount is nearly 75% higher than the $5.9 billion invested in these types of funds by June 1998. Interestingly, the growth in ethical or socially responsible investing more than doubled the general mutual-fund growth rate of 30% during that same time period, according to the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC).
